General Pattern of Services

On Sunday our main services of worship are a mixture of modern and traditional. Sunday service times are 8.00 am, 10.30 am and 6.00 pm. Morning Prayer is said at 9.00 am from Monday to Saturday.

Our general pattern of services follows, but please note these occasionally vary for special services.

First Sunday of the Month: 8am Holy Communion; 10.30am Family Service; 6pm Evening Communion.

Second Sunday:  8am Holy Communion; 10.30am Parish Communion; 6pm Celtic Prayer.

Third Sunday: 8am Holy Communion; 10.30am Morning Prayer (Matins); 6pm United Service at The Fairfield Centre.

Fourth Sunday: 8am Holy Communion; 10.30am Parish Communion; 6pm Evensong.

Fifth Sunday: 8am Holy Communion; 10.30am Parish Communion; 6pm Taize.

There are special services at Christmas and Easter, Pentecost and Harvest, and we have a number of services which are distinctive to Aldeburgh. The most well-known of these is our Festival Service which opens the Aldeburgh Festival but there are others such as the Lifeboat Service.
