We are frequently asked about the different ways of giving to the Church, the following describes the various options:

By Standing Order – this method is used for regular monthly, quarterly, six monthly or annual donations. In addition if you are a tax payer and complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form, the Church can recover an additional 28p for each pound you give, at no extra cost to you. (From 6 April 2008 this will be reduced to 25p for each pound following the reduction in the basic rate of income tax announced in the last budget).

By White Envelope - these are available for visitors to the Church who wish to make a donation under Gift Aid. These envelopes are available at the back of the Church.   You need to complete the section that asks for your name and address (including postcode, which we have to record) as well as giving the date.

By Cheque – payable to Aldeburgh PCC, some donors prefer to make donations in this way. Such donations may also be gift aided, subject to completion of the appropriate declaration.

By donation using a Charities Aid Foundation account -  this can be by cheque (payable to Aldeburgh PCC) or through a standing order.

By Legacy - you might like to consider leaving the Church a legacy in your Will. Any legacy can be restricted to a specific purpose or can be for general funds. Legacies made to charities are excluded from Inheritance Tax.
