Elders - biographies

 

blessed to be serving God alongside a lovely group of people and under the good care and guidance of Reverends Nigel and Nicky.
 
I particularly enjoy helping with the children's activities at Church, and hope and pray that we can continue to build bridges and encourage the youngsters within our community.
 
It is very difficult to encapsulate what my Christian faith means to me because it is all embracing.  In essence my faith gives me great strength, comfort and peace in a very hectic and confusing world.  My faith spurs me on to be a better person and to persevere at things I find hard.    Faith encourages me and has
given me confidence,  I think faith has developed me as a person. Faith teaches me to be thankful for all that I have, and to help others around me in any way that I can.

I was born in Aldeburgh and returned to live here in 1999 as a retired research scientist who had recently been widowed. In this new situation, the support given to me by the Church was a great comfort.  Now, as an Elder helping with pastoral care, I hope that by visiting and
