Church History
1972 a new pair of west doors (Agate memorial)
1984 repairs to the roof of the south porch and re-
1996 the Visitors’ Corner and Children’s Corner are made thanks to a generous bequest
2002 the vestry used by the choir and the PCC is enlarged and rebuilt
2006 the church office, which used to be the sailors’ mortuary, is renovated and improved and the church redecorated
2006 a new sound system is introduced and makes a tremendous difference to our worship and hearing!
and the mediaeval dog sits in the choir stalls opposite Samson the cat.

The history of the church is long and will be, by God’s grace, longer yet. It is living history and is being written in this generation. We have new schemes under consideration and so in time this page will, no doubt, see new additions.
