Sacristans

where Jesus is known in the

breaking of the bread

Sacristans are responsible for setting up all that is needed in the sanctuary for services of Holy Communion.   This involves making sure that there is bread and wine and sufficient vessels for the expected size of the congregation.   They look after the altar linen and make sure that it is clean and ready for use, and for clearing and cleaning up after each celebration.   Being a sacristan is an important and responsible role and we are fortunate to have a good team.   Sacristans receive training and take their responsibilities seriously.
