The “About us” section allows you to navigate to pages which tell you more about who we are and what we do.
St. Peter & St. Paul is the parish church of Aldeburgh and part of the Church of England diocese of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich, and in the Saxmundham Deanery. Together with our colleagues in the Roman Catholic Church and the Baptist Church we minister to the town. There is no official Methodist presence but a Methodist minister who lives here plays a full part in our meetings of ministers.
On the Staff pages you will find some of the people who are most involved in the life of our church. This is where you can find details, for instance, of our Clergy, Director of Music, and our team of Lay Elders, who provide pastoral care.
On the Church page you will find an outline of the history of our lovely church, what events are happening and what you will need to do if you wish to use the church to stage a concert or similar event.
Details of events and how to book the Church Hall or the Fairfield Centre are also available.
The Friends of Aldeburgh Church is an important organisation which supports the church and helps raise money for special projects.
We have a wide range of groups. Some of them, like the Bellringers, Sacristans, Vergers, Servers, Sidespeople, flower arrangers, and Sanctuary Guild, take on practical roles in support of our worship. The Beta group is a home group that sprang from an Alpha course and it meets together to study and pray. Children and young people are involved in the life of the church. And Genesis is a group that meets once a month for fun activities and shared meals.
