Fairfield Centre

which is at heart of the community

The Fairfield Centre is the former Methodist Church and is close to the roundabout in Fairfield Road.  It has a small car park and good facilities and serves that part of the town well.

There is a wide range of activities and regular events.   It provides a haven for those on their own and a meeting place for young Mums and their children as well as being available for many other kinds of meeting.

The lunch club on Tuesdays is particularly popular.

On the third Sunday evening of each month the ministers of the main denominations take it in turn to lead a United Service at the Fairfield Centre which attracts a considerable following, many of whom do not worship at any of the churches in the town.
