Jon Gibbs was appointed in February 2008 and completes our musical team. His gifts complement those of David, our Director of Music.   Jon is a very gifted organist and is a talented jazz pianist.   Both sides of Jon’s music are used to enhance our worship!

Jon Gibbs – Organist - biography

Jon Gibbs says, “I have been involved with music in church from as soon as I could read.   I learned piano and then organ in my home town of Ipswich before embarking on further studies of the organ in Norwich.

I have a wide range of musical experience.  I’ve toured Europe playing jazz and more contemporary music and I also have experience of theatre and recording work.  

At Aldeburgh I am very keen to work with young musicians and to give them the opportunity to be involved with worship in creative and exciting ways.

I very much enjoy working with everyone here in Aldeburgh, meeting visitors and playing an active part in the life and worship of this exciting church and parish.”
