Parochial Church Council (PCC)

and together we work for the Kingdom of God

Our Parochial Church Council is the legal body which considers, debates and decides upon all aspects of parish life.   The Clergy and Churchwardens are ex-officio on the Council, which has four spaces for those lay members elected to represent us on Deanery Synod and a further 4 elected lay places.   Elections take place annually at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and members serve for a period of three years before standing if they wish for re-election.   The PCC represents the congregation but their primary role, according to the legislation by which they are governed, is to support and co-operate with the Vicar.

To contact the PCC please contact the Secretary, Jane Jacomb-Hood
