and shine with the radiance of Christ

Celia was ordained in June 2010. Having studied music at university, she had a brief spell in the banking and insurance industry.  After marrying Richard they moved to Colchester where he was serving with the Royal Anglian Regiment. She began a career with Essex Social Services and was later seconded to train as an occupational therapist. She had several happy years working in general and psychiatric hospitals and in the community.

Having enjoyed the rich experience of living in Europe and Colorado, the family settled in Suffolk in 2004. Celia felt a call to ministry in 2006 and studied theology with the Eastern Region Ministry Course.

Richard now works for a publishing company in London and has the unenviable task of commuting. Having been born and raised in Aldeburgh however, he believes it’s worth it! George (14), Phoebe (12) and Emily (8) all attend Woodbridge School and are equally smitten with the freedom of living in a seaside town!

Celia feels hugely privileged to be able to serve the local community which has such a rich musical heritage, vibrant town and beautiful landscape.
